Jaguar F-Type R New Car Detail.

On September 28th i carried out one of my very popular new car details on this stunning Jaguar F-Type R for a returning client of mine.

A few months back i carried out a paint enhancement detail on his Jaguar XKR ready for it to go up for sale, at the last minute he changed his mind and part exchanged it for the F-type R.

On arrival at RAF Benson we found a good location to carry out the detail after going through the signing in procedure at RAF bases, once a suitable location was found it was time to crack on with the job.

First job was to thoroughly clean and decontaminate the alloy wheels of brake dust and iron deposits.

Next up after the alloy wheels had been addressed was to snowfoam the exterior of the car to loosen up dirt and debris.

In this photo you can see dirt under the rear spoiler that would have been missed if it wasn’t raised up.

And the exterior of the Jaguar with the snowfoam loosening up the dirt and debris.

As you can see the dirt has been safely removed after the snowfoam with some agitation from soft detailing brushes.

Once the whole exterior was thoroughly wash using the two bucket method and clay bar’d to remove contamination from the storm grey paintwork a full inspection of the paint was carried out, several places had small areas that required attention. Some local buffer trails and holograms where present.

Once the exterior inspection was completed the interior was up first, A thorough vacuum then the leather & alcantara seats where treated to Gtechniq Smart fabric for the alcantara with Gtechniq Leather Gaurd Bio for the leather, the floor mats also had some Smart Fabric applied for protection against stains & liquids.

A quick polish using a Rupes Bigfoot21 with a white Rupes polishing pad & Meguairs 205 was used to correct these small areas to give it perfect paint ready for protection.

Once the paint was perfected protection was required for long term gloss and shine. A coat of Scholl Concepts NEO synthetic paint sealant with a coat of Definitive wax Development wax2.

Next up the alloy wheels received a coat of Gtechniq wheel amour for ease of cleaning and rock hard protection.

All the exterior glass was also treated to 2 coats of Carpro Flyby30 rain repellent after being cleaned with Stoner invisible glass.

Then it was onto the small finishing touches like the door shuts, exhaust tips and trim.
